Men’s Health Network (MHN) created a national education campaign aimed at
getting men talking and thinking about colon health, while taking steps
toward protecting their colon.
A
nationwide survey shows that more than two-thirds of men (68 %) have
not consulted a doctor about their risk of developing colon cancer, and
nearly half (48 %) are not at all concerned about developing colon cancer
– the nation’s second most deadly cancer.
Furthermore, over one-third (37 %) of men polled are
unfamiliar with important preventative measures for the disease,
such as regular colon screenings, exercise and a healthy diet.
